Accessibility statement and assessment of disproportional burden
1. Introduction
The fortrade.si website is designed to be accessible to all site visitors by customizing it in different ways, at the same time their experience is as positive as possible. Accessibility was based on self-assessment in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
We wish to draw the attention of the largest possible audience to the use of the Website, which is why it is promptly adjusted and made accessible to users with various forms of impairment.
2. Conformance level
The Website is in partial conformance with the requirements of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/18, 95/21 – ZInfV-A, 189/21 – ZDU-1M and 18/23 – ZDU-1O; hereinafter “ZDSMA”), since certain contents fail to meet all accessibility requirements, as laid down in the mentioned Act, despite the fact that the Website is continually monitored and promptly improved in respect of individual accessibility elements. Exceptions and derogations are indicated in point 4 of this statement.
When upgrading the Website and its contents, we follow the international guidelines for web content accessibility and conform to the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 standard, which breaks down conformance to three levels: A, AA and AAA. We endeavour to conform at least to level AA.
3. Web accessibility elements
In view of web accessibility requirements, the Website contains various adaptations in the following areas:
3.1 Perceivable
Objective: all information and all parts of a web page must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, meaning that information cannot be invisible to the senses they use.
3.1.1 Time-based media
There are no time-based media on the Website.
3.1.2 Adaptable
The Website contents are mostly adaptable and can be used in various ways without losing information.
However, there are exceptions where the implementation is not the most suitable for the blind and visually impaired persons using a screen reader.
3.1.3 Distinguishable
At large zoom, the text on the Website distributes nicely. The Website has a good contrast (at least 4.5:1).
3.2 Operable
Objective: User interface components and navigation must be operable, implying the possibility of using the user interface with no interaction required.
3.2.1 Keyboard accessible
Navigation by way of a keyboard is possible to a certain extent, but also difficult to some extent.
3.2.2 Enough time to read content
There is no content on the Website that has a time limit.
3.2.3 Seizures
There are no disturbing advertising elements or other aggressive contents on the Website that could lead to negative reactions or seizures.
3.2.4 Navigable
The Website is logically arranged, with the header on top of a page and footer at the bottom of a page.
The Website has a navigation trail (crumbs) that tells the user where on the web page they are located.
3.3 Understandable
Objective: information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable, meaning that users must be able to understand information and the method of working with the user interface.
3.3.1 Readable
The Website is readable and understandable.
3.4 Operable in different applications
The Website is accessible by way of different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and mostly operates in the same manner in all browsers. The Website is also accessible by way of mobile devices (e.g. smart phones or tablets – Android, iPhone, iPad).
4. Derogations and exceptions / assessment of disproportionate burden
The Website accessibility is monitored continually and individual accessibility elements are promptly improved. Despite that, certain published contents fail to meet all accessibility requirements as laid down in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
Examples of such contents are:
4.1 Text alternatives
The Website contains a large amount of graphic and video material which is currently not yet furnished with text alternatives and is being arranged by priority. A large part of the Website is furnished with graphic or video material due to the nature of the content.
4.2 Navigable / Keyboard accessible
The Website contains an ancillary (secondary) navigation level (plug-in) which is used for sharing content to other platforms (social networks). The side menu is basically not accessible due to the semantics of the elements, which is beyond the developer’s control. The “ShareThis” external plug-in is used.
4.3 Heading labels
Headings do not follow the recommended sequence (H1, H2, H3, etc.) on certain pages of the Website, but rather use a different sequence (for example, H1, H3, etc.).
4.4 Focus indicator
There is a possibility that the focus indicator on the Website is not visible enough in some places and, furthermore, not all elements have the same or similar frame.
4.5 Sample forms / contact forms
The Website contains sample forms / contact forms by third parties (embed/integration). In case of an incorrectly completed sample form, the boxes completed incorrectly are deficiently marked. The provider has no influence over the sample forms provided by third parties and consequently cannot provide full conformance.
4.6 Video content
The Website contains many video contents (video) that have no text alternatives provided yet. Most of the mentioned contents currently still lack the relevant subtitles and audio transcriptions or audio descriptions. The arrangement is not mandatory for multimedia content that was recorded before 23 September 2020.
